presets.dev is an open-source platform. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the site and how it is used.
Data we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run the service:
- Authentication data — when you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive your username or email address, display name, and profile avatar via OAuth. We store this to identify your account.
- Votes — when you upvote a preset, we record your user ID and the preset ID.
- Public profile — if you choose to make your profile public, your username and contributed presets are visible to other users.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Third-party services
- GitHub OAuth — sign-in is handled by GitHub. Their privacy policy applies to the OAuth flow.
- Google OAuth — sign-in is handled by Google. Their privacy policy applies to the OAuth flow.
Data retention & deletion
Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and associated data, open an issue on GitHub with the subject "Account deletion request".
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the GitHub repository.
